How I tried my First Kimono

By on October 2, 2018

It happened when we were attending a huge get-together and got to meet lots of people there, there I met an elderly Japanese lady who asked me if I had tried a kimono to which I said no, I didn’t get a chance yet, though there were so many one  day kimono trial shops while I was traveling in Kyoto as I was alone and had camera and bag and it was difficult to carry it. She immediately offered me to try her kimono and I didn’t have words, we were total strangers.

Udaipur through my lens

By on September 1, 2018

udaipur

This year January when we were planning for a 2-day trip, Udaipur popped up in our mind and we were so eager to visit the city of lakes after going through pictures, I went there with my three friends, and it was more of friends together time trip, we spend more time at hotel room watching haunted movies and jumping on bed, enjoying mid-night noodles hunger, fighting and things like that. We managed to visit a few places including Jagdish Temple, Saheliyo ki baari, Lake Pichola and two other lakes. Udaipur is a small, quiet, less polluted and clean place though it is mostly a tourist place attributed to its lakes and palaces.

How my first solo trip happened

By on July 26, 2018

I never thought my solo trip would ever happen, but it just happened when I had to stay alone at home and my boyfriend suggested me to travel solo instead and I can’t thank him enough for this. Initially, I was not sure and  being honest I was a bit unhappy with his suggestion, with the thoughts like this (how the hell he can say this to me, I wouldn’t be able to communicate, I would feel awkward and lonely,  won’t he miss me, doesn’t he know I have never even crossed the border of my city alone and this time it was a foreign country with an alien language,  How am I going to manage everything, what if I got lost, Doesn’t he want to travel with me, doesn’t he know how much my parents were worried about my journey from India to Japan) but I gathered all the confidence and overcame my fear and said yes to this enriching lifetime opportunity.
