10 Lazy ways to lose weight

Losing weight sometimes becomes hard, with a busy life and we are looking for easier alternatives.

Staying in shape sometimes become difficult with a modern busy lifestyle, and we either try to find easier alternatives or sometimes we give up. Do not ever give up on yourself or your health. If we intend, we will anyhow find ways. Though I will say if you want flowers you have to at least water every day or some days in a week. But if you stop giving water, it will slowly die. And for lazy people like me, we find easy way to do difficult things.

I have shared 10 easy ways to stay in shape:

  1. Use smaller and colorful plates, smaller plates make us eat less due to an optical illusion. When you put less amount of food on a bigger plate, you feel demotivated and deprived, whereas when you put the same amount of food on a smaller plate you feel happy, bigger and filled seeing your plate full.
Although the amount of food will be the same, it looks less on a bigger plate and looks large amounts n a smaller plate. with a smaller plate, it feels you are eating more.
When the color of your food is same as the color of your plate you put 30% more food, whereas there is a contrast between your food and plate you end up putting less and eat less. It has been scientifically proven,

2. Laugh a lot, a good belly laugh can help you burn calories, and can also be stress-buster. Research proves that a good belly laugh of 1 5minutes can burn up to 100 calories. So it is time to binge on some good jokes and comedy series.

3. Sleep Early, It has been seen that we manage to control eating throughout the day but it is hard when you sleep late, you have midnight craving and the chances are you will opt for some fast food, wafers, and things like that. If you sleep on time, you will save yourself from that and a night of good sleep can help you lose weight.

4. Drink water before meals, make it a habit to drink at least a glass of water before meals, this way you get full early and avoid overeating. whenever you want to have snacks, first drink water. Water should be your priority before anything.

5. Make salad your starter dish: Eat a salad before meals, when you eat a salad before a meal you already burn lots of fat in a few days. Salad is rich in fiber and when you make habit of eating a carrot, tomato, radish, and cucumber. You will feel full for longer and you will also eat less of the main course. Please avoid social media while eating, because while our mind is in something else, we cannot focus on our food and lose track of how much we are eating.

6. Replace dessert with fruit: Finish your meal with some juicy, sweet fruit like berries, orange, muskmelon, mango, banana. It will avoid craving for empty nutritious desserts. it will also help you digest your food.

7. Move every 15 minutes, it is very hard to workout with a sitting job. Sitting for a longer time will not only give you fat around your waist but will also invite spine-related issues. There are many exercises that you can do while sitting, which will help you to remain in shape and avoid any spine pain. You will find many exercises like stretching and some yoga poses.

8. Whenever you are waiting, don’t just stand, walk, do jumping jacks and squats. Give yourself challenges like to do 50 squats at once or 50 jumping jacks. Whenever you just have to stand, move your body.

9. Eat fermented food whenever possible, you can keep it for a longer time and do not have to prepare every day. You can make your pickles in Japanese style, where you will finely chop vegetables like carrot, bell peppers, cucumber, cabbage and keep them in sweet vinegar. The vegetables remain crispy and fresh and you can keep it in the refrigerator for more than two weeks.

10. Eat more protein, with the protein you do not have to stay hungry, you can eat lots of protein and burn calories and build muscles. Keep your focus on paneer, beans, lentils, peas, fish, tofu, soybeans, eggs, etc. Gradually try to reduce carbs and increase protein in your diet. Like if you eating dal(lentil) with rice. Take more of the dal and less rice.
